Course Description
This course is designed to provide seafarers with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform duties as a rating forming part of an engineering watch in a ship’s engine department. It is intended for personnel assigned to engine-room watchkeeping duties under the supervision of engineering officers.
The training covers fundamental marine engineering principles, including basic operation of main and auxiliary machinery, monitoring of engine-room parameters, safe working practices, use of tools and equipment, and routine maintenance tasks.
