Bridge Resource Management

This course is designed to enhance the safe and effective management of bridge operations through the optimal use of available resources, including personnel, equipment, and information, in accordance with the principles and requirements of the STCW Convention.

The training focuses on non-technical skills essential for safe navigation, such as leadership, teamwork, communication, situational awareness, decision-making, and workload management on the bridge. It addresses human factors, error management, and the prevention of accidents through effective coordination between bridge team members and with other departments.

Through theoretical instruction and practical exercises, participants develop the competence to apply Bridge Resource Management principles during normal and emergency situations, improving navigational safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with international maritime standards.
