OBJECTIVES

The objective is to provide students with information to acquire the knowledge, understanding and competence necessary to achieve the objectives of the learning results to demonstrate their competence in safety training for personnel providing direct service to passengers in passenger spaces in accordance with Section A-V/2 paragraph 2 of the STCW Code as amended.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The participant shall have:

  • Hold the four (4) certificates of courses for basic safety training specified in the Section A-VI/1.
  • Good health, documented with a medical certificate.

The Safety Training Course for staff who provide direct services to passengers in the spaces intended for them, belongs to the minimum training requirements and additional instructions for those who provide direct service to passengers on ships engaged in passenger transport, in accordance with Regulation V/2, paragraph 6, Section A-V/2, paragraph 2 of the STCW´78 Convention, as amended and its STCW Code, comprises seven (7) hours between the theoretical and practical time.
