1. Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities

OBJECTIVES

This course has as its objetive the demonstrate the ability to understand the working environment of seafarers and the danger, to contribute to the good human relations on board the ship, taking appropriate measures in the face of hazards, pollution and emergencies, always endorsing the safety of personnel and the vessel, corresponding to Regulation VI/1, Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-4 of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended and its STCW Code.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The participant shall have:

  • Good health, certified by means of a medical certificate.

The Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities Course belongs to the minimum training requirements and basic safety instructions for all seafarers, in accordance with Regulation VI/1, Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-4 of the STCW´78, Convention, as amended and its STCW Code, comprising 20.0 hours between the theoretical and practical work time.
